Smartenna™ should be at room temperature (around 70° F) for easiest installation.
Uncoil Smartenna™ completely before installation. Be careful to avoid kinks in the cable.

The antenna end should be placed at a point equal distance from all tires to be monitored, not more than 25’ from each tire.

The antenna should have a clear line-of-sight to each monitored tire, with no metal obstructions in the way.

The antenna should droop down vertically toward the road surface. Do not let the antenna touch the road surface.

Keep any extra cable at the monitor end. Extra cable should be LOOSELY coiled, with a minimum 3" diameter.
If you have more than a few loops extra, coil them in a figure eight.

When routing the cable, avoid anything that might crush the cable or bend it into less than a 1 ½" radius.
Avoid sharp edges or anything that might cut or abrade the cable sheath. Cable ties or clamps should be snug but not excessively tight. A tie or clamp that deforms or cuts into the cable is too tight.

Avoid routing the cable near or on moving or rotating parts. Steering columns often have grease fittings,
which can cut or damage the cable when the steering wheel is turned.

If the cable is attached to chassis components that can move or flex relative to each other, allow enough
slack to prevent stretching or breaking the cable during vehicle movement.

If possible, avoid attaching to or routing next to high-voltage or high-amperage wiring.

DO NOT ROUTE NEAR OR ATTACH TO ANY VEHICLE COMPONENT THAT GETS HOT.
Be aware of generator or heater exhaust on RVs.

1. Select the right antenna(s) for your application, 20ft 40ft & 60ft are available.
2. 20ft recommended for trucks & SUV's pulling a trailer
3. 40ft recommended for motorhomes 35ft or under pulling a vehicle.
4. 60ft recommended for motorhomes 36ft & over pulling a vehicle.
5. Place magnetic base of antenna as near to the center rear of vehicle as possible. Antenna should point up or horizontal. Do not point antenna down or towards the rear of vehicle. String the antenna cable and wiring along frame rails.
6. Antenna can be placed in the engine compartment of fiberglass diesel pushers.
7. Antenna can be placed on frame rails, bumper or tow hitch, provided antenna is facing up or horizontal.
8. Bring antenna cable into the cab via existing grommet in firewall or floor area.
9. Attach antenna leads to the receiver unit.
10. Coil up slack in cables and use cable ties to attach excessive cable inside or outside the vehicle away from moving parts or heat.
11. Cable Tie antenna lead to existing wiring loom, beginning at the antenna and work toward the cab.
