Back to Air Pressure

The AB-1 RV air booster consists of an air doubler fitted with a regulator, shut of valve, safety relief valve and quick couple air connections. It is designed to be "plug and play". All the operator needs to do is plug it air inlet into a source of at least 80 psi and the output will be 160 psi. The booster is assembled here at Bob Dickman
Tire using SMC & Parker components.

Our booster does not require any outside power other that an air source of at least 80 psi.
The pressure increase is attained using mechanical advantage inside the booster.

  • Weight: 3.7 lbs
  • Size: 9" long 6" deep and 4" high

Speed: Inflation speed is quite good, for example on 1 test we performed on a Monaco Diplomat using the on board air and our booster we took a 295/8022.5 from 90 psi to 110 in 3 minutes.

The booster should be stored or mounted in an area or compartment that is protected from the weather.

RV Air Pressure Booster instructions:

The RV Air Pressure Booster assembly is designed to safely allow the RV owner to inflate their tires to the proper pressure using a source with lower pressure capacity than the pressure required by the tire.

The booster consists of a booster assembly fitted with a pressure regulator, shut off valve and a safety valve. The unit has been set to provide about 160 psi output with a safety relief valve set at 200 psi. For safety sake
do not attempt to adjust the unit for a higher output.

To operate, connect the inlet hose to the air source and an inflation hose to the output quick coupler. Turn the shut off valve to the on position and inflate your tires. The unit will make a pumping sound when in use.

  • Make sure your hoses and fitting are in good condition and have a high enough pressure rating.
  • Use standard safety precautions when working with compressed air and inflating tires. If a tire has lost more that 25% of its air the tire should be dismounted and inspected before inflating.
  • Turn the shut off valve off when not in use or damage to the booster may result.
  • The unit may be mounted using the bracket on the base. It can be left connected to the air source but
you should turn off the shut off valve when not in use.
Warranty:

The RV Air Pressure Booster assembly is warranted for 2 years from date of purchase against defects in workmanship and materials when used for its intended purpose. Boosters that are abused or altered can not
be warranted. Return to Bob Dickman Tire Center for repair or replacement.
